Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Petties ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and shares information when you use our mobile apps and web experience (the "Service"). Petties is a platform for pet owners and breeders to list pets, upload photos and communicate with each other.
1. Information we collect
When you use Petties we may collect the following types of data:
- Account information. Email address, display name, password (stored securely as a hash), profile photo and basic account settings.
- Pet listings. Information you provide about your pets such as name, breed, age, description, location and availability, as well as any images you upload.
- Images and media. Photos you upload for your profile and listings.
- Messages. Content of chats between users carried out through the Service. These messages are stored so that you and the other participant can view your conversation history.
- Usage data. Basic analytics information such as pages viewed, actions taken in the app, device information, approximate location (based on IP address) and timestamps.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate and maintain the Petties app and website.
- Display your pet listings to other users and allow them to contact you.
- Enable secure messaging and other communication features between pet owners and breeders.
- Protect the safety of users and pets, including investigating suspicious or abusive activity.
- Monitor performance, fix bugs and improve the design and features of the Service.
3. Legal basis
We process your personal data to perform the contract with you (to provide the Service), to comply with legal obligations, and where we have a legitimate interest, such as keeping Petties secure and improving the platform.
4. How your data is stored
Petties is built on Google Firebase. Your data may be stored and processed on Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database and Cloud Storage. Google may store this data in data centres located in different regions. For more information, please see Firebase Privacy and Security.
5. Sharing your information
We may share your information in the following situations:
- With other users, when you choose to create listings, upload photos or send messages.
- With service providers that help us run Petties (for example, hosting, analytics and communication tools), subject to appropriate safeguards.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process or governmental request.
- To protect the rights, property or safety of Petties, our users or others.
6. Data retention
We retain your account information, listings, images and messages for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account, after which we will remove or anonymise your personal data, subject to any legal obligations to retain certain information.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing.

8. Children
Petties is not directed to children under the age of 16. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take steps to remove such information.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to help protect your information. However, no system can be completely secure and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after any changes means that you accept the revised policy.

1. Topladığımız Bilgiler
Petties'i kullandığınızda aşağıdaki türde verileri toplayabiliriz:
- Evcil hayvan ilanları: Evcil hayvanlarınızla ilgili girdiğiniz bilgiler (isim, ırk, yaş, açıklama, konum, uygunluk durumu) ve yüklediğiniz fotoğraflar.

4. Verilerin Paylaşılması
- Evcil hayvan ilanları ve profil bilgileriniz, uygulamadaki diğer kullanıcılara gösterilebilir.
- Barındırma, analiz ve iletişim gibi hizmetler sağlayan güvenilir üçüncü taraf servis sağlayıcılarla gerekli ölçüde paylaşabiliriz.
- Yasal yükümlülükler, mahkeme kararları veya hukuki talepler doğrultusunda verilerinizi paylaşmamız gerekebilir.
5. Saklama Süresi
Hesabınız aktif olduğu sürece hesap bilgileriniz, ilanlarınız, fotoğraflarınız ve mesajlarınız saklanabilir. Hesabınızın silinmesini talep ettiğinizde, kanuni yükümlülükler saklı kalmak kaydıyla kişisel verileriniz silinir veya anonim hale getirilir.
